Poets and poetry lovers are warmly invited to our monthly Poetry at the Grange series. Bring a few of your favorite poems or your own poetry to read or recite, or just come to listen.
On Thursday March 12, Greg Bernhardt will kick off the program as featured poet. Greg is the author of a book of poetry, Goats & Those Who Live by Them, and the novel When Everything Was Possible. Greg is also a professional painter, an artisanal cheesemaker, and farmer at Blue Ledge Farm, which he and his wife, Hannah Sessions, established in Addison County, Vermont in 2000. In his creative acts of writing and painting, Greg merges the focal points of his life, which he finds rely on one another: the farm and its inhabitants, the artisanal cheese craft, making hay, animal husbandry, and working alongside his wife.
Should our parking lot fill up, please park at the Catholic Church just south of the Grange, by the fence. Kindly stay home if you are feeling sick and mask up if you have been exposed to someone with a contagious respiratory ailment.
Poetry at the Grange is held every second Thursday at the Grange in collaboration with the Charlotte Public Library. The winter poetry program runs from 1-2:30. This is just one of many events run by the Charlotte Grange, located at 2858 Spear St. For more information about the Charlotte Grange and to view a full calendar of interesting events, we hope you will check out our website: https://www.charlottegrange.org/
