October’s Poetry Gathering will be a bit different - it’s Youth Night!

Young people between ages 10 and 19 are invited to recite their own or favorite poetry at our monthly Poetry Event at the Grange.  This evening will be entirely devoted to young poets.  Older adults are welcome to sit in and listen.

The evening will start with recitations from the Shelburne Junior Poet Laureate.  Subsequent participants are invited to recite one or a few poems and are encouraged to provide context about their poems if they wish.

Prizes will be given to those who recite from memory.

Extra parking at the Catholic Church just south of the Grange

Everyone is welcome! This monthly gathering held in collaboration with our great friends at the Charlotte Library. We will gather every second Thursday from 1-2:30 pm during winter and spring; and 6:30-8 pm during the summer and fall months of June, August, September and October.
