Charlotte Walks

We hope you can join us for our first "Charlotte Walks" of 2026, at the Williams Woods Natural Area on Friday, April 24.

About Charlotte Walks:

Once a month, usually on the third Friday of the month, we meet at 8:30 at a different Charlotte trailhead for a morning walk. It's a great way to get more familiar with Charlotte's public trails, and to meet up and chat with other Charlotters. Walks usually last about an hour to an hour and a half, and are generally led at a comfortable adult walking pace, but we definitely stop to look at the flowers and listen to the birds.

For this month's walk:

We'll meet on 4/24 (we're Walking on the Fourth Friday just for April), at 8:30 at the parking lot of the Williams Woods Natural Area on Greenbush Road in Charlotte, about a mile south of the Thompson Point Road intersection. The trail is a one mile loop through the "best remaining mature valley clayplain forest in the Champlain Valley." It also is home to many spring natural wonders - vernal pools with amphibian eggs, ephemeral wild flowers, and beaver activity.  Trail conditions are unpredictable this time of year, so we recommend that you wear boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy!
