Poets and poetry lovers are warmly invited to our monthly Poetry at the Grange series.
On Thursday April 9th, there will be a special poetry performance: "Two Troubadours in Mud Time"
Cyrus Cook, a life-long poet and English teacher, joins Nick Carter, a musician since his youth, to bring to the Charlotte Grange their shared passion for poetry and song. These two troubadours and former teachers, both based in CT, — Cy at Choate Rosemary Hall and Nick at The Stanwich School— have been friends since they met at Hebron Academy in Maine in 1969. These days they still enjoy sharing their love of poetry and music with students and friends. Join us in the afternoon or evening for this special edition of Poetry at the Grange!
Should our parking lot fill up, please park at the Catholic Church just south of the Grange, by the fence. Kindly stay home if you are feeling sick and mask up if you have been exposed to someone with a contagious respiratory ailment.
Poetry at the Grange is held every second Thursday at the Grange in collaboration with the Charlotte Public Library. The winter poetry program runs from 1-2:30pm and the spring/summer/fall program runs from 6:30-8pm. This is just one of many events run by the Charlotte Grange, located at 2858 Spear St. For more information about the Charlotte Grange and to view a full calendar of interesting events, we hope you will check out our website: https://www.charlottegrange.org/
