Music Open Mic returns to the Charlotte Grange!

If you sing, play an instrument, or both - it's time to tune up and start practicing! The music starts Thursday June 25th from 6:30-8pm when the Charlotte Grange will once again host an ongoing series of open mics dedicated to widening the circle of music in  Charlotte through connection, communication, community, creativity and celebration of the wonder of music.  Grab that guitar (or any other instrument you love), loosen up those vocal chords, and prepare your favorite song – and share it in a relaxed, friendly setting

Nick Carter, a singer songwriter and former music teacher, and Dave Vallett, of the popular local band, The Buck Hollers Band, will host this new program. The theme of this open mic will be Summer (music/poetry is not required to be on theme). Nick and Dave are both veteran and well-loved performers of Charlotte’s own summer music series, Grange On The Green.  Similar to the format for Poetry at the Grange, Nick and Dave will hold the stage for the first portion of the evening and will then open the floor for participation. Performers of all ability levels will be given equal time in the neighborhood of 7-8 minutes each, depending on that night's attendance, to share something they've been diligently practicing and preparing.

Should our parking lot fill up, please park at the white Church just SOUTH of the Grange, by the fence.  Please do not park at the private brick building that looks like a church adjacent to the Grange.   Kindly stay home if you are feeling sick and mask up if you have been exposed to someone with a respiratory ailment.
