Poetry at the Grange

  • Charlotte Grange Hall 2858 Spear Street Charlotte, VT, 05445 United States (map)

Poets, poetry lovers, and everyone interested in poetry are invited to gather at the historic Charlotte Grange Hall!

Our featured poet on Thursday, May 8 is Samantha Kolber of Montpelier.  In reverence to spring and upcoming Mothers Day, Samantha will read selections from her collection “Birth of a Daughter”.  Samantha has been published in several journals and anthologies, and has won many awards for her poetry and her pies. Samantha is also the owner / publisher of Rootstock Publishing, a curated hybrid and traditional press in Montpelier, VT, publishing award-winning fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

Participants will afterward be invited to recite their own poetry, read poetry of their choosing, or just enjoy and reflect. Poetry related to spring or motherhood is encouraged (but not required). (Modest) prizes are offered to those who recite their poems from memory.

Should our parking lot fill up, please park at the Catholic Church just south of the Grange, by the fence. RSVPs are encouraged but not required: abigailkilley@me.com.

“Poetry at the Grange”  is held every second Thursday at the Charlotte Grange, in collaboration with the Charlotte Library.
